“Cheers to the New Year” 2018

Overview

On Jan. 10, UF Health Cancer Center faculty and staff gathered in the UF Cancer and Genetics Research Complex atrium to to celebrate our myriad achievements in 2017 and to toast to the opportunities and doubtless numerous successes of the coming year. There was also a brief awards presentation to highlight a few recent exemplary accomplishments; see below for a complete list.

In the last year, the UF Health Cancer Center made numerous advancements in its leadership, programs and partnerships while expanding faculty recruitment, collaborative research, as well as our basic and clinical research space. The Cancer Center is gaining significant momentum toward its goal of achieving National Cancer Institute designation, a prestigious award that will take our pioneering research and innovative patient care to the next level. This is all made possible by UFHCC members and family — the UF and UF Health faculty, students, health professionals and administrators dedicated to preventing, detecting and curing cancer.
