The article, published online on June 14, describes how clinical trials for cancer treatments are not always well understood by patients or the medical community, even though they provide patients with valuable access to leading-edge therapies. It is important for nurse navigators to be informed about clinical trials so they can explain them to patients and combat myths, the authors wrote.

The Journal of Oncology Navigation & Survivorship is the official journal of the Academy of Oncology Nurses & Patient Navigators.
