Click on link above to open reservation instructions. Once made, reservations will be confirmed by email within 1 business day. Notice of room cancellation must be sent to mckinsieanderson@ufl.edu.

AV SUPPORT:

Equipment in each room is configured to be user friendly but if laptop or IT person is needed, a request must be made. Read AV reservation directions to reserve AV equipment, or call the Cancer Genetics Information Services (CGIS) Help Desk. Be sure to indicate the location of the event. Charges may apply for service outside of business hours. Notice of AV cancellation must be sent to the e-mail address at the top of the calendar. Customers are expected to bring any adapters needed to connect laptop(s) to the cables provided in the cable cubby for all seminar or conference rooms.

CHECK ROOM BEFORE USE:

Allow enough time to check the reserved room before your meeting to make sure it contains the furniture and IT equipment you require. We can not help you move furniture. If any equipment is missing or non-functional call the CGIS Helpdesk.

CHECK ROOM AFTER USE:

Furniture should be returned to standard configuration and all debris (coffee cups, papers, etc) must be removed or put in trash cans after room use. Room misuse or damage will result in being given lower priority for future requests; repeat offenders may be denied use of rooms.

MOVING CHAIRS AND TABLES:

Stackable chairs and rolling tables may be moved between rooms IF you, 1) reserve the room from which you are moving the furniture for the entire period it will be missing and 2) return the furniture to the original location immediately following your event. You may move the furniture yourself (there is a dolly for moving stacking chairs) or place a work order with the HSC Physical Plant to move it.

PARKING:

Three visitor parking passes are available in Director’s office for parking in circle outside building entrance during business hours. Call 273-8010 to reserve them.

UF decal & Visitor Parking is available nearby; click here to see UF parking maps. Approximately 20 parking spaces around the circle drive can be used outside business hours. The pony field gates are up from 6 p.m. – 6 a.m. and on weekends. However, the pony field lot is reserved for RVs on game-day weekends. Other free parking after hours is available at the Medical Plaza and Archer Road garages.

SECURITY FOR EVENTS DURING NON-BUSINESS HOURS:

For events in the Cancer Genetics Research Complex after 5:30 pm, after hours security must be contracted with UPD by the user for the entire period that the building is occupied by event attendees. UPD currently charges $61/hr with a three-hour minimum for special events. Please contact Sgt. Seth Colson or call 352)-392-3345 to check on scheduling security for your event. If you are uncertain as to whether security will be necessary, contact Greg Tyler at tylerg@ufl.edu. All cost of security must be paid by the user.
