Archer Family Health Care hosted the Mobile Cancer Screening Connector and area rural health care agencies to focus attention on rural health care.
The UF Health Cancer Center teamed up with Man Cave Health and the Prostate Cancer Foundation for a prostate cancer event at Gator Fanfest.
The Connector will expand access to lifesaving cancer screenings and essential health care services, including 3D mammograms and cervical, colon, and prostate cancer screenings.
The groups will offer prostate cancer screening via PSA testing and health education at the Florida-LSU football game.
Lakeshia Cousin will also serve as clinical director of the Cancer Center’s mobile mammography unit, set to launch this fall.
To better serve this population, the mobile mammography unit will feature more than just mammograms.
Construction is well underway on the unit and it is expected to launch this fall.
The bus will be outfitted with leading-edge technology to bring services directly to the community.
