About:

The UF Health Cancer Centers Community-Partnered Cancer Disparities Research Collaborative (CDRC) consists of eight Black churches, an interdisciplinary team of culturally sensitive researchers and a health disparities research support staff working collaboratively to conduct community-based participatory research that will lead to interventions and grands to help prevent and/or reduce cancers among Blacks and others who live in or near the East Gainesville community.

Power Over Cancer is a series that provides an opportunity for cancer leaders, researchers and clinicians of the UF Health Cancer Center and members of the East Gainesville community to engage in a dialogue about the cancer prevention, care and research conducted by the Cancer Center. These gatherings provide a venue for engagement and shared learning as we build a stronger and healthier community together. The Power Over Breast Colorectal Gathering is the fourth in the series.
