Spring UF Health Cancer Center Cancer Policy Intern

Congratulations to Alexi Hernandez Alvarez for being selected for UF Health Cancer Center Cancer Policy Internship!

Hernandez Alvarez, a second-year Master of Public Health and Health Professions with a concentration in population health management, will intern this spring in Washington D.C. with Rep. Darren Soto. Throughout this internship, he will be given the opportunity to directly impact health care policy.

NCI Cancer Research Postbac (CRP) Program

Selected candidates will spend up to 2 years conducting research in basic science, clinical research, cancer epidemiology, genetics, cancer control science, or global health, which they will present at the annual NIH Postbac Poster Day. In addition to research, participants will meet monthly for additional career and professional development opportunities.

Chateaubriand Fellowship

The Chateaubriand Fellowship is a grant offered by the French Embassy in the United States for Ph.D. students in various programs to complete a fellowship in France for 4-9 months.

Applications for the Chateaubriand Fellowship opened October 10th and will close January 19, 2024!

NCI Cancer Research Interns (CRI) Summer Program

Selected interns for the program will spend 12 weeks conducting research in basic science, clinical research, cancer epidemiology, genetics, cancer control science, or global health, which they will present at the annual NIH Summer Internship Program Poster Day. In addition to research, interns will participate in career development opportunities, such as seminars.

SLAS - 2024 Building Biology in 3D Symposium

SLAS and The Wertheim UF Scripps Institute are hosting the Building Biology in 3D Symposium! This is a great opportunity for UFHCC students, post-docs, and faculty to engage in advanced cellular 3D models, 3D imaging, and analysis! There will be high caliber talks from people from around the state, country and the world, that are truly leaders and innovators in the 3D biology space.   Check out the flyer and scan the QR code for free registration!
