Six UF Health Cancer Center researchers received funding from the Florida Cancer Innovation Fund for research projects that promote cancer innovation, research and lifesaving care for patients in Florida.

High School Symposium engages local students

The UF Health Cancer Center education team traveled to Ocala for the annual Cancer Research Symposium for High School Students at West Port High School on March 25. The symposium drew a great turnout, with students attending from four local high schools.

COE engages community at Black Family Expo

‌

The Community Outreach and Engagement team joined its community partners to provide health screenings and health education services at the Black Family Wellness Expo hosted by The Gainesville Chapter of The Links, Incorporated last month. The event at Greater Bethel AME Church provided nearly 30 women with 3D mammograms to screen for breast cancer. In addition, 18 patients received care from the UF Mobile Outreach Clinic.
