Managing at UF: The Supervisory Challenge
Designed to provide UF leaders with meaningful information about the knowledge, skills and behaviors necessary for being an effective manager at our university. To achieve the “Managing at UF” certification, participants will attend ten required workshops and two electives, for a total of 12 workshops.

University of Florida Leadership Network (UFLN)
Forum for faculty and professional leaders who have completed UF’s leadership development programs. The network supports its members’ continued exploration of leadership issues while providing opportunities for networking and collaboration. Holds approximately three events per calendar year.

Leadership Toolkit
Appropriate for both faculty and staff in leadership roles, the toolkit was created specifically to provide UF leaders and with tools to enhance the leadership qualities they already possess, while cultivating new strengths through education and training. The new website includes “just-in-time” resources in the forms of job aids, audio and video podcasts, and reading suggestions.

Clinical & Translational Science Institute Workshops, Webinars, and Services
The Clinical & Translational Science Institute offers a number of workshops, webinars, and free services to assist faculty in designing studies, preparing grants, recruiting participants, conducting statistical analysis, and other aspects of the research process.

The program’s overall objective is to improve the leadership capability of program participants by focusing on key competencies, as outlined in the UF Leadership Competency Model. Leadership Development Program (LDP)
LDP is a semester-long program where you can apply to be a participant in the fall, spring or summer semesters. It is a three-tiered business program for undergraduate students. The purpose is to mold the concept of leadership as an inclusive process by which change is effected for the betterment of others. The model is inclusive in that it is designed to enhance the development of leadership qualities in all participants — those who hold formal leadership positions, as well as those who do not.
UF COM Graduate Medical Education
Coaching for Leadership Development (C4LD)
A one-year, longitudinal program designated for a small group of fellows or senior residents to teach leadership skills including communication, team dynamics and conflict management. It teaches content, but more importantly, it makes the participants use their new skills for a whole year in a progressive manner with small-group projects, one-on-one coaching and a portfolio of demonstrated competencies.
UF Health Grad Student & Postdoc Career and Professional Development (Grad Dev)
Grad Student Career & Professional Development
Through a collaborative effort between the UF CTSI, UF Health Office of Biomedical Research Career Development, and the six colleges of the UF Health Sciences Center, multiple Grad Student & Postdoc Career & Professional Development programs are offered for students.

Leadership Professional Certificate
Promotes leadership development among pharmacy students to equip the future leaders in the profession. Provides opportunities for pharmacy students to learn about leadership principles, develop self-awareness related to leadership and put this new knowledge into practice.

Cancer Training and Education Program
The mission of the UF Health Cancer Center’s Cancer Training and Education Program is to serve as the university-wide center for cancer education and workforce enhancement. The program provides education and training opportunities across the education continuum, from pre-collegiate to faculty, and includes programs that emphasize training individuals from groups underrepresented in the biomedical workforce.
